SAMER®TAS systems in PERN fuel depots

PERN, one of the key operators in fuel transmission and storage in Poland, chose an integrated solution to manage both logistics and technological processes. Our task was to implement a system that would enhance safety, streamline operations, and speed up the handling of fuel transports.

Challenge

PERN needed a solution that would:

  • ensure automation and full supervision of technological processes,
  • enable drivers to operate independently within the facility,
  • eliminate paper-based document flow,
  • guarantee the continuity of operations at strategically important sites.

Our solution: SAMER®TAS

We implemented our proprietary SAMER®TAS system across several PERN fuel terminals. The system works comprehensively: the driver registers their arrival and confirms the loading plan at a self-service kiosk. The system automatically assigns a loading bay, controls barriers, and guides the driver through weighing, loading, and document issuance - without operator involvement.

Through dispatcher workstations equipped with a SCADA application, SAMER®TAS ensures continuous supervision over fuel transshipment equipment and processes. It logs alarms and system blocks, monitors device operating parameters, supports service planning, and helps prevent failures. It's a true command center for the operators.

Integration with business systems

The local system communicates with central platforms, retrieving data on orders and scheduled transports, while also sending back information on completed loadings. Logistics, accounting, and warehouse managers have access to real-time data.

Efficiency and order

Vehicle flow and loading bay management proceed smoothly—without queues or downtime. Self-service speeds up the process, allowing the terminal to run efficiently even under high traffic.

Benefits for PERN

  • Increased safety: continuous monitoring of technology and reduction of losses
  • Higher efficiency: shorter service times, fewer errors
  • Greater control: all operations in one system, accessible in real time
  • Better use of human resources: staff focus only on tasks that require manual intervention
  • Future readiness: a flexible system that can grow with the organization

Additionally:
The system was designed with a modular architecture, meaning it can be further expanded and tailored to future needs. PERN benefits from full 24/7 technical support - including remote diagnostics, updates, and rapid on-site service when needed. This ensures business continuity, even in critical situations.

Continuous supervision of technological processes

The SAMER®TAS system was designed with the future in mind, offering the flexibility and scalability needed to adapt to PERN’s evolving requirements. As a result, the company is well-positioned not only to meet current challenges but also to prepare for future changes in the fuel industry.

SAMER®TAS not only optimizes daily operations - it delivers long-term value. With advanced technology, PERN can better manage its assets, minimize the risk of failures, and optimize logistics processes. This innovative approach enables faster responses to dynamic market demands - crucial in the rapidly evolving fuel sector.
