§ 1. Definitions
  1. Administrator – means the owner of the Website and the domain that places cookies on the Website User’s End Device via the Website and obtains access to them.
  2. Cookies – cookie files (so-called "cookies") are computer data, in particular small text-numeric files that are saved and stored in the Service User's End Device and are intended for using the Service pages. Cookies most often contain the name of the website from which they originate, the time of their storage on the User's end device and a unique number.

    For example, cookies can:
    • remember the websites you have visited
    • remember the settings you have chosen
    • collect information about your use of the website

    For the purposes of this Cookie Notice, the term "cookies" also includes other types of technology that perform similar functions to cookies and that enable us to monitor and improve our website/apps. For example, we may use "web beacons" on our website and apps. Web beacons are images that are used to deliver cookies, count visits, analyze website usage, and determine whether an email has been opened and acted on.
  3. Website – means the website under which the Administrator runs the website operating in this domain or subdomain.
  4. User’s End Device – means an electronic device, e.g. a personal computer, tablet or mobile device such as a mobile phone, via which the User gains access to the Service.
  5. User – means an entity/natural person who uses the Website.

1. WHO DO COOKIES COVER?

The Administrator uses cookie technology or functionalities similar to it within the website. Each person visiting the Service, including within the application, regardless of whether they are its client or just a visitor, has the option to choose the scope of application of cookie technology and then express the appropriate consent. Depending on the selected scope of application of cookie technology, information about the User may be collected via it, e.g. about the way the website is used, the interests of a given User.

2. Types of Cookies used

  1. Cookies collect data regarding the use of the Service by the User, and their main purpose is to facilitate the User's use of the Service, to adapt the Service to the needs and expectations of a given User (personalization of the Service's subpages), and to examine traffic statistics within the Service.
  2. In most cases, the Service does not collect and store personal data in Cookies, such as name and surname, date of birth, NIP, PESEL or contact details. However, there may be places where by checking the "remember me" box, we save in encrypted form the data that is necessary to perform a given functionality.
  3. The website uses the following types of cookies:

    1. Session cookies (eng. "session cookies") - these are cookies temporarily stored on the User's End Device and remain there until the end of the browser session. After the User logs out, the saved information is permanently deleted from the Device's memory;

    2. Persistent cookies – these are cookies stored on the User’s End Device for the time specified in the parameters of these files or until they are deleted by the User;

    3. Own Cookies (first party cookies) – placed on the Website by the Administrator;

    4. Third-party cookies ("third-party cookies") - placed by external entities (partners of the Service), approved and triggered by the Administrator using scripts and components located on the partner's servers located in a different location.

    5. "Strictly Necessary" Cookies: These are cookies that are essential for the proper management of Merrid Controls online content. They enable users to move around Merrid Controls online content and use its features. For example, when filling out online forms that span multiple pages, these cookies allow the browser to determine which page to display next.

    6. “Functionality” cookies: these enable Merrid Controls online content to remember choices and settings you make, such as your preferred Merrid Controls Dealership, detect whether you have already been offered a particular service (e.g. in relation to surveys), and collect data on more complex decisions, such as which product or service you have expressed interest in.

    7. Performance/analytical cookies: collect information about how visitors navigate and use the Controller's online content. They include data on the pages most frequently visited by users and, in the case of programs, the average time to connect to the application and the rates of successful/unsuccessful connection. They allow us to determine how customers use the Controller's online content, what types of errors occur, which pages are rarely visited, which take a long time to load, and which pages users visit most often - and in what order.

    8. “Targeting/Advertising” Cookies: These cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are relevant to an identified machine or other device (unnamed or identifiable to the user) and tailored to the interests of the activities on the website that the machine or device has been linked to. For example, if a third-party website cookie recognises that a particular product was purchased via a particular device, the cookie may “talk” to marketing cookies on that site to display advertisements for similar products to the purchase on that device. These cookies are also used to limit the number of times you see a particular advertisement, as well as to help measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign. They may also store information that a particular device has visited the website and may share this information with marketing organisations.

    9. "Social" cookies: these are used when you share information using the social sharing function built around social networks or the "Like" button, or when you link your social network account to our site or use the content we post on social networking sites. The social network records this type of user activity. This type of information can be used in advertising activities or to target advertising to a specific target group.
  4. The Cookies used by the Administrator are safe for the User's End Device, in particular they do not cause any configuration changes in the User's End Device or the software installed on that Device.

3. Cookies used by the Website and the purposes for which they are placed.

  1. The website uses the following own Cookies:

  4. The User may at any time withdraw or change the scope of previously expressed consent to the use of Cookies on the Website and delete them from their browser.
  5. The Service User may also at any time limit or disable Cookies in their browser by setting it to block Cookies or warn the User before saving a Cookie file on the User's End Device, which they use to view the content of the Service.
