SAMER®Net by Merrid Controls it is a software solution which integrates local forwarding SAMER® systems, installed on the individual liquid fuel storage depots.
The main features of the SAMER®Net system:
- Automatic creation of the loading plans for the local SAMER® systems. SAMER®Net system broadcasts truck loading plans to the local SAMER® systems installed in target liquid fuel storage depots. The loading plans are gained automatically from dispatching systems of the key transport companies.
- Orders transfer from ERP system (e.g. SAP R/3) to the local forwarding SAMER® systems working in target storage depots. Product and contractor data is transferred along with the order data. SAMER®Net system matches trade information (orders) gained from SAP system to forwarding information (loading plan) gained from transport companies.
- Data banks synchronization between local systems installed on the fuel storage depots. The data banks are meant as the information stored in forwarding systems regarding:
o drivers,
o tank trucks,
o identification cards,
o contractors,
o rail tanks,
o and relations among them.
Modifications of central system data banks are propagated to distributed (local) systems. Central Customer Service Office (CCSO) operators can modify data in consequence of advice notes received (by fax or e-mail) from transport companies or other contractors. Distributed SAMER® systems can work autonomouslyeven in case of lost of communication with central systems SAP and SAMER®Net.
- Preview of the tank trucks transport position using a web browser. The user, after logging on the web site, obtains an access to the preview of current tank truck transports. The available information is: actual transport position (e.g. “prepared”, “during realisation”, “terminated” etc.), driver, truck and identification card data, products loading plan, loaded products amount, duration of loading stages etc. This function is mainly useful for dispatcher of a transport company which possess some computer systems, non-integrated with SAMER®Net System. After sending the announcement by fax to the Central Customer Service Office, the dispatcher of a transport company can verify the data implemented by CCSO operator, using a web browser. Presented data are available read-only and they contain only these transports which are realized by drivers and trucks of given transport company.
- Presentation of the reports using a web browser. The user, after logging in on the web site, obtains an access to the reports adjusted to his needs. The users of SAMER®Net system Reports’ Module can be both fuel depots owner workers and contractors (clients, carriers or agents). The solution allowing to minimise printing and sending reports by post from storage depots, because the recipients have got direct access to essential data.
- The access from one application into reports data regarding many storage depots. Local SAMER® systems do not have such ability.
- Manual creation of loading plans for local SAMER® systems. The user can implement manually loading plans intoSAMER®Net system. This data is immediately sent to the local forwarding SAMER® systems, working in target storage depots. Central Customer Service Office (CBOK) operators take advantage of this opportunity and manually create loading plans based on notifications from transport companies which do not possess automatically working interface among their own dispatching systems and SAMER®Net system.
The structure of SAMER®Net system
SAMER®Net System contains of:
- Database server – keeping central data banks and the information about orders, contracts, loading plans, realisation of loadings dispatched or obtained from/to local SAMER® systems working on storage depots.
- Application server – creating the reports and the comparisons for web application in the form of www pages on the basis of information gathered in SAMER®Net system database.
- SAMER®Net – SAMER® interface – information exchange between local SAMER® systems on storage depots and central system SAMER®Net in a scope of data banks synchronization, sending orders and contracts, loading plans and their realisation.
- SAMER®Net – ERP system interface – information exchange between SAMER®Net system and ERP System (e.g. SAP R/3) in a range of sending orders and contracts.
- SAMER®Net – DISPATCHING interface – information exchange between SAMER®Net system and various dispatching systems of transport companies in a range of sending loading plans.
- Administrative application – database server’s client
- Web (WWW) application – application server’s client.
